Part of Hands on Therapy’s mission is to increase opportunities for children to receive quality therapy services in rural areas. We provide therapy services to rural Alaska infant learning programs and rural school districts. Our therapists contribute to IEP and IFSP development and special education assessment. We utilize self-regulation strategies, classroom modifications, and adaptations and accommodations to help students learn in the least restrictive environment. We strive to support all school staff who work with a student throughout his/her school day. We also provide in-services to school district staff to increase awareness and knowledge for staff who work with children in the special education program.
